Research
Volumetric 3D printing in microgravity
- Designed imaging and motion systems for a Zero-G flight experiment that printed 150 parts in May 2022.
- Used Background Oriented Schlieren imaging to analyze post-experiment structural evolution of printed parts.
- Developed resin formulations across viscosities and other material properties, enabling a 2x reduction in print time.

Projects
ASTRID — automated star-tracking telescope mount
- An automated telescope mount that finds and tracks a chosen object in the night sky.
- Designed the software architecture that connects a laptop, ESP32 microcontroller, camera, and motor controllers.
- Integrated ESA's
tetra3star-identification software as feedback for a custom pointing controller. - Wrote Arduino code to steer the telescope smoothly and precisely to the target.
FoosBot — automated foosball goalie
- A foosball table with an automated goalie that blocks 90% of on-target shots.
- Wrote a regression-based ball-trajectory estimator from data gathered and processed with OpenCV.
- Wrote several goalie controllers, with OpenCV for feedback.
Industry
Northrop Grumman
- Built Cameo verification models and DOORS requirements for a model-based systems engineering workflow.
- Used CATIA to resolve aircraft integration requests and prepare manufacturing change instructions.
- Used C++ to verify FPGA and ASIC memory limits, generated FPGA test code, and configured hardware testbeds.
Student teams
Space Technologies and Rocketry (STAR)
- Oversaw 13 leads and 7 technical projects through the competition season, including a successful liquid engine hotfire and its launch in 2023.
Mechanical Engineering Competition Team at Berkeley
- Co-founded the team and wrote its constitution as a Registered Student Organization.
- Ran trade studies on spring steels across temperature, pressure, and dust conditions.
- Designed and tested a tool-attachment mechanism in NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab in Houston (remotely, June 2021).
SAE Aero Design West
- Built test rigs to measure axial strength of balsa longeron designs, and jigs to assemble the competition aircraft's fuselage.
